Lawrence S. Kullman
A Harvard-Educated Litigator and Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
A founding partner of Lewis, Kullman, Sterbcow & Abramson, LLC, Lawrence S. Kullman is a distinguished trial lawyer renowned for his intellectual rigor and courtroom excellence. A graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Law School, he has dedicated his career to representing victims in complex medical malpractice and products liability cases. His induction as a Fellow in the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers places him in the top echelon of trial advocates in North America, a testament to a career defined by legal mastery and unwavering ethical standards.
A Career Spent Shaping the Law and Championing Justice
Lawrence’s approach to litigation is shaped by his elite academic background and a deep commitment to leveling the playing field for the injured. He believes that prevailing in complex cases against powerful corporations and medical institutions requires not only aggressive advocacy but also a superior command of the law’s nuances. This philosophy has guided his practice, where he has consistently championed the rights of his clients with formidable skill and preparation.
His influence extends far beyond his own cases. Lawrence has been repeatedly entrusted by his peers to shape the law itself, having chaired the Amicus Curiae (“friend of the court”) Committees for both the Louisiana Association for Justice and, at the national level, the American Association for Justice. In this capacity, he authored briefs on behalf of the entire trial bar, helping to establish legal precedent and protect the rights of victims across the state and country.
Experience
Lawrence’s career is marked by significant service to the legal and medical communities. He has served on the Medical-Legal Interprofessional Committee of the Louisiana State Bar Association, helping to bridge the gap between the two professions. His expertise was further recognized by his appointment to the Louisiana Medical Disclosure Panel, a body that plays a key role in setting the standards for informed consent in medical care.
