ABOUT BETH
Beth E. Abramson
Strategic Advocacy from Every Angle: Leveraging Judicial and Defense Experience for Your Case.
Beth E. Abramson brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to her practice at Lewis, Kullman, Sterbcow & Abramson, LLC. A former clerk for the Louisiana Supreme Court and an attorney with experience on both the defense and plaintiff sides, she possesses a deep, multi-faceted understanding of the legal system. Beth leverages this insight to advocate for her clients in her primary practice areas of maritime and admiralty law, medical malpractice, and civil litigation, fighting to secure the justice they deserve.
A Career Defined by Service and Strategic Advocacy
Beth’s career has been profoundly shaped by her commitment to service, particularly her intricate and active involvement in providing disaster legal services following Hurricane Katrina. This experience, which earned her national recognition, solidified her dedication to helping people navigate their most difficult moments. Her approach is defined by a powerful combination of empathy and strategic thinking, ensuring that her clients feel heard and understood while she builds the strongest possible case on their behalf.
Her philosophy is that the best representation comes from understanding all angles of a case. Having clerked for Justice Catherine “Kitty” Kimball at the Louisiana Supreme Court, Beth gained an invaluable insider’s view of the judicial decision-making process. Combined with her experience practicing on both sides of the bar, she offers her clients a 360-degree perspective that allows her to anticipate opposing strategies and craft more effective legal arguments.
Experience
Beth’s distinguished career began with a prestigious clerkship for Justice Catherine “Kitty” Kimball at the Louisiana Supreme Court. Before focusing on representing plaintiffs, she practiced on the defense side, giving her a well-rounded foundation in civil litigation. Her work following Hurricane Katrina was a defining period, where she was instrumental in coordinating and providing pro bono disaster legal services for the state of Louisiana through both the American Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
